Repair procedure in practice: Customs has not released the goods - how does the rectification procedure work and when can it save your cargo?

Incorrect documentation and missing markings can stop your goods at the border. This was the case with the lithium-ion batteries for payment terminals, which ended up in our customs warehouse after a decision by Customs.
After analysis of the documentation received, it was concluded that the product:
- It did not have the required markings - the name and address of the importer in Polish was missing,
- It had no instruction manual or safety information in Polish,
- It had an incorrect declaration of conformity - no reference to Directive 2014/30/EU and the relevant standards.
Repair procedure in practice - what have we done to help the client?
This allowed the goods to be released and reach the public!
In the course of the resolution procedure we provided full customs support - we were in constant contact with Customs, prepared complete photo documentation and made all the required declarations. To confirm that the procedure was carried out correctly, a customs search was carried outduring which the customs authority verified the correctness of the markings and compliance with the requirements.
Thanks to a comprehensive service for both storage as well as customs formalities, the goods could be effectively marketed.
